Alfreton Town return to the Impact Arena after a period on the road as we welcome in-form Chorley in the National League North, kick off is 3pm behind closed doors.
Fixtures at the Impact Arena remain behind closed doors due to Derbyshire's placement into tier 3 following the national lockdown and as instructed by government guidelines and protocols. However we hope to welcome our supporters back to the Impact Arena and back on the road as soon as possible and as soon as government guidelines will allow to do so.
The fixture will be streamed once again live from 2.30pm by ATFCTV, we thank all of our guest co commentators for their contribution to the club. We are pleased to welcome David Bedlow once again for tomorrow's fixture. As always Amar Sharma will be joined on co-commentary by Nathan Evans, with David Bedlow our guest co-commentator for this fixture.
Alfreton were denied three points right at the death in our last outing at Southport last Saturday. The Reds started well and had some good chances in the first half with Nicky Walker having a golden chance but his shot was saved by the Southport goalkeeper. However just after the half hour mark, Bobby Johnson hit a wonderful strike into the bottom corner to give the Reds the lead.
The game lacked quality throughout with both sides not giving too much away but Bobby's goal provided the cutting edge we needed. However the second period saw the hosts grow into it far more and despite good defending throughout, we were hit by a Archer finish inside the box in stoppage time.
The Reds head into tomorrow's game looking to build on the point gained at Southport, however we are seeking a first win in five games. Alfreton have registered just two wins from the 12 league games we have played so far.
We have lost six league games with only Curzon (7) and Blyth (8) losing more so far this season. Home form has seen us win just once (3-1 v Farsley) from our five home outings this season.
Visitors Chorley sit in 15th in the league table with 12 points from 10 matches. They are two points above us and have two games in hand.
Their current playing record stands at: P10, W3, D3, L4.
Chorley have enjoyed an incredible Emirates FA Cup run and have made it to the Third Round for the first time in their history and will face Championship opposition in Derby County in January.
League form has been interrupted due to the cup run, but the Magpies are unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions.
League form has seen Chorley unbeaten in their last six, winning their last two (1-0 v Guiseley, 0-2 v Boston) keeping two clean sheets in the process.
AWAY FORM: The Magpies are aiming for a third straight win away from home in all competitions and last lost away from home back at Southport (1-0) on the 17th October.
A DECENT RECORD: The Reds have lost just once at home to Chorley in the last four meetings at the Impact (W2, D1, L1)
