Alfreton Town look to return to winning ways as Bradford PA visit the Impact Arena in the National League North, kick off is 3pm on Saturday.
It's been a mixed start to the season for the Reds but despite two defeats in the opening four league games, the performances have certainly not warranted a points return of four points from four games.
A narrow defeat to Brackley thanks to a deflected strike settled matchday one, before a ard fought point against Boston before easing past Blyth. A trip to Altrincham came on Tuesday night and it was another brilliant display from Billy Heath's men but we left on the wrong side of a 3-2 scoreline.
We twice levelled the contest thanks to Danny Clarke's first half bundled effort before trailing 2-1 at the break although a huge penalty shout for us was waved away with an apparent handball following Bobby Johnson's free kick which hit the post.
Danny East reacted to stab home just a few minutes into the second half to drag us back level again before a late goal once again settled the points with offside looking very clear in the build up.
But despite the result, the Reds will be looking to kick on again and keep the performance levels high in what's been an unlucky start to the season. The Impact Arena has boded well for us so far with Alfreton looking to make it three games unbeaten at home after beating Blyth and drawing with Boston in the two games prior.
Three points will definitely be the aim as we look to kick on after Tuesday's set back.
Bradford, last season's seventh placed finishers, arrive to us sitting in 21st place in the table with just a point gained from their opening four fixtures, a run which includes three defeats from their opening four.
It's been a tough summer for the Avenue with several key players departing, including both Shane Killock and Danny East to the Impact Arena.
The visitors have conceded a league high 14 goals so far and scored just once, with the goal also earning them their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw at Gateshead on Tuesday. The Avenue will be looking to build on that point gained tomorrow.
