Alfreton Town are thrilled to announce that Ritchie Sutton has rejoined the Reds from National League side Altrincham on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 35 year old experienced centre back made 3 appearances for Billy Heath`s side as he provided the required knowhow and guile to solidify the Reds defence. Sutton who can also play as a right back has garnered a wealth of experience during his career. He began at Crewe but did not make an appearance for them before being loaned out to Leek Town and Stafford Rangers. After further spells in non league with Northwich Victoria and Halifax Town he moved into the Football League with Port Vale.
He then went on to enjoy success with Mansfield Town, helping the Stags to the Conference title in 2012/13 and helping Tranmere Rovers triumph in the National League play off final over Boreham Wood in 2018.
More recently he joined the Robins after a stint at Morecambe FC. He has made 5 appearances for Altrincham so far this season and was part of the rock solid Alfreton backline that secured an impressive away day success at Spennymoor yesterday. Welcome back to ATFC Ritchie!
