Alfreton Town have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Nottingham Forest youngster Lewis Salmon on a youth loan deal until the end of the current campaign, subject to FA and league approval.

The 20-year-old striker, formerly of Altrincham, sealed a dream move to Forest following an impressive loan spell at Trafford where he rose to the top of the BetVictor Northern Premier League North-West Division scoring charts.

He was subsequently invited for a trial with the Sky Bet Championship outfit in April 2021, where he was impressive enough to land a permanent deal with the club.

Salmon has spent the first half of the season plying his trade with Forest U23s, making 19 appearances and scoring three times.
