Reds look to secure place off place on Saturday

Alfreton Town complete their home fixtures schedule on Saturday when resurgent Spennymoor Town visit the Impact Arena on the penultimate round of fixtures.

As we fast approach an exciting denouement Alfreton Town`s play off qualification is all but secured.
Billy Heath`s men need to one more win from their remaining two games to mathematically sure although it will take an improbable set of results to deny the Reds a spot in the end of season play offs.

A comfortable 3-0 win over already relegated Gloucester City under the Impact Arena lights on Tuesday moved Alfreton on to 74 points as Billy Heath`s side reclaimed 5th place from South Shields. Jordan Thewlis took his season tally with another brace against a relegated side with the marksman having scored five goals in his last 5 appearances.

Spennymoor`s match on Tuesday night against Banbury was postponed and moved to Thursday and at the time of writing had not been completed with the Moors with the opportunity to move as high as seventh with a victory via a three goal margin.

Graeme Lee who took over the managerial hotseat at Spennymoor earlier in the year has transformed the Moor`s season with the Durham outfit picking up 25 points from their last 10 league matches - the highest in the division. The Spennymoor manager has been awarded the Manager of the Month award for the second successive month such has been their dominance.

As was demonstrated in the away game at Brewery Field were Ofton suffered a 2-1 defeat just over a month ago it will be a much sterner test for the Reds on Saturday as they look to extended the unbeaten home run to 13 games and confirm their berth in the top seven in the process. COME ON YOU REDS!

Tickets for the fixture can be purchased online or on the gate at the Impact Arena

Parking at the Impact Arena is incredibly limited. We recommend
the pay and display parking on Rogers Lane, DE55 7FF and also at Severn Square, DE55 7BT - both are a five to ten minute walk to and from the Impact Arena.

Please be considerate of residents on the estate next to the arena, particularly Connaught Court, Bentley Close and North Street. We ask supporters to avoid parking in the residential areas around the ground and instead ask that you follow the advice and park in the pay and display car parks
