It’s been a quiet week on all accounts at the Impact Arena with Ofton only playing once thanks to the ever-changing weather that we have in the UK.
The draw with Darlington last Saturday was followed up on Tuesday night with a victory over Banbury United which will come as a huge positive for Ofton as we look to push on into the play offs.
Wednesday’s academy game was called off due to a frozen pitch, but this was only the start. Saturday’s trip to Bradford Park Avenue was postponed on Friday afternoon due to the ongoing snow fall in the region and we’ll travel there tonight instead in search of another important 3 points.
Then on Saturday we welcome title chasing AFC Fylde to the Impact in what is sure to be a mouth-watering afternoon of football.
National League TV
As the National League begins to trial its streaming service at step 2 they’ve announced 10 fixtures across the National League North and South to be used for testing.
Our trip to Kidderminster Harriers on the 25th of March has been selected meaning Ofton fans from around the world will be able to tune in and see us in that fixture. Sadly, the fixture does fall within the TV blackout meaning those in the UK will not be able to stream the match.
Volunteers Week
Like many non-league clubs, we rely heavily on a small number of committed volunteers to keep the club moving forward.
This volunteers week we’re reaching out and asking whether you can lend a hand at Alfreton Town FC, whether it’s helping as a match day steward or assisting in ground repairs there is a role for everyone at the football club.
Everyone’s time is hugely appreciated and if you can lend a hand just contact the football club and I’m sure we’ll be able to put you to work.
AFC Fylde merchandise offer
We’re running a special merchandise offer ahead of this weekend’s fixture with AFC Fylde, if you purchase a home adult or junior replica shirt this week, you’ll be given FREE entry to our huge National League North fixture.
A new shirt and FREE entry to step 6 of English Football, what isn’t to love?
Alfreton Town Radio
With the arrival of our new Media Officer Kian Ward, we’ve been quick in working out how to improve our Social Media channels and make it easier than ever for fans to keep up to date with Alfreton Town FC.
That’s why we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be launching a new Radio Commentary service before the end of the season. Covering games both at the Impact Arena and away (home club permitting) we aim to bring our fans who aren’t always able to make it to games the chance to feel a part of the match. It’s also the perfect sponsorship opportunity with many clubs in the National League North receiving high numbers of listeners on a regular basis. Interested? Then get in contact with the club and help out your local non-league side.
We’ll have further details of this as and when we have it
