Reds to travel to Bucks in 2nd Qualifying Round on the 17th of September

The Emirates FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round draw took place earlier today and was released at 1pm this afternoon.

Once again, Alfreton Town will head out on the road for the fourth successive tie in the competition, as they have been handed an away clash against local rivals and fellow National League North club Buxton FC.

A stiff test will await Billy Heath`s side as Buxton, now managed by former Chorley boss Jamie Vermiglio play on an articifical surface and enjoyed a fairy tale run to the second round proper where they were edged out by EFL League One side Morecambe last season.

The match will take place on Saturday 17th of September with a replay penciled in for Tuesday 20th September if required.

The two sides have met once before in the prestigous competiton, which came in the 1973/74 season when Alfreton prevailed 2-1 in a replay after a 2-2 draw at Silverlands in the Fourth Qualifying Round.

The winners of the tie will recieve £3,375 while the losing club will get £1,125.

Admission details will be anounced in due course
