Alfreton Town Football Club is proud to support Operation Sceptre, a national initiative aimed at reducing knife crime and raising awareness within local communities. As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to promoting safety and positive values, a number of activities will take place at the Impact Arena ahead of our upcoming fixture versus Southport.

Police Engagement at the Ground

Local police officers will be on-site throughout the day to engage with supporters, players, and staff. A dedicated information stall will be set up outside the ground, providing resources, advice, and opportunities for fans to speak directly with officers about the dangers of knife crime and how to help keep our community safe.

Players and Staff Involvement

Officers PC Scott Bennet and PC Chris Gray will meet with the Alfreton Town FC management team and players ahead of kick-off. This session will support the creation of social media content, ensuring the club can share powerful messages about anti-knife crime across its platforms.

To further amplify the campaign, players will wear specially designed Operation Sceptre T-shirts during the warm up.

Youth Engagement

The initiative will also extend to the club’s younger age groups. The police officers will meet with the Alfreton Town Juniors U16’s to discuss knife crime awareness, helping to educate and empower young players on the impact of knife crime and the importance of making positive choices.

Alfreton Town FC is committed to playing an active role in supporting community safety. We encourage all supporters to engage with the campaign on matchday and help us spread the message: Together, we can make a difference.
